Clan Chat Filters

As strange as it sounds, we want to make battling as safe as possible! This is why Clash of Clans has a profanity filter that prevents the use of offensive or vulgar words in Clan Chat. Please check The Word Filter: What it is & Why we use it to learn more.

In some cases, the profanity filter can be a little too sensitive and even star out innocent phrases. Please bear with us as we work on making it better at spotting only offensive words.

Family Friendly Clans help ensure a safer experience for younger players by applying stronger filters to Clan Chat.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change a Clan's Status from Family Friendly to standard. If you're in a Family Friendly Clan and want the standard experience, we recommend creating a new Clan or joining a different one.

Please note! If a new Clan is created with the Family-Friendly setting enabled, it cannot be changed in the future.
