Clans can have up to 50 players, with members organized into 4 earned ranks. When you tap on a Clan mate's info screen, you'll be given various actionable options depending on your rank.
When you join or rejoin a Clan, you will automatically earn membership. Even if you were an Elder, Co-leader or Leader in another or the same Clan before, you will always start as a Member when you join a Clan.
An Elder has more responsibilities than a Member, but less than a Co-leader or Leader.

Promoting members gives them significant responsibilities. If they aren’t prepared for the role or don’t take it seriously, it could have adverse effects on your Clan. Screen your members carefully and promote only those you know and trust.
For example, Co-leaders can kick out almost anybody in the Clan. Elders can kick out members. This leaves a lot of room for dirty politics if handled improperly. Kicking out people for no reason might be a mean thing to do, but it’s not against the rules.

We can’t retroactively change Clan dynamics in the event of one bad apple. We like each Clan to be independent.
